[The amended version of IVS in Moji_Joho Collection]

ITSCJ(Information Technology Standards Commission of Japan) SC2 Committee(JSC2), which is Japan National Body to JTC1/SC2 requests to register amended version of Moji_Joho Collection in IVD.

[Background of amended Moji_Joho Collection]

After first version of Moji_Joho Collection was registered, JSC2 has been continuing to proceed standardization work for Moji Joho Kiban project(文字情報基盤整備事業), conducted by Moji Joho Kiban committee under IT Strategic Headquarters (an organization within Japanese Cabinet), together with IPA(Information-Technology Promotion Agency, Japan).
Recently, standardization process for CJK Unified Ideographs Extension F was finished with the inclusion in ISO/IEC 10646 5th edition, and moved to publishing process. 1645 characters are added to Extension F from Moji Joho Kiban project and some of MJ glyphs which should be distinctively used for Government administrative use have been unified and share same code positions.
